Building a sovereign, open-source cloud — one home at a time.

Dynamic Family Cloud is an independent open-source initiative exploring how individuals and families can regain control over their digital infrastructure without depending on centralized cloud providers.

Starting with Raspberry Pi devices connecting homes in Belgium and Spain, the project aims to create a secure, expandable European edge cloud where new locations can join automatically through Zero-Touch Provisioning.

What I'm Building

• Digital Sovereignty: Keeping personal data and infrastructure under direct user control.
• Open-Source Infrastructure: Using technologies such as Linux, OpenNebula, WireGuard, Headscale, Garage S3, and LUKS2.
• Zero-Touch Expansion: Allowing new devices and family locations to join the cloud simply by plugging them in.
• Sustainable Computing: Giving Raspberry Pis and refurbished computers a second life.
• Practical Knowledge Sharing: Publishing architecture designs, deployment guides, configurations, and real-world engineering experiments.

Why I'm Asking for Donations

This project is independently developed and supported through personal time and resources.

Your contributions will help cover:

• Refurbished hardware, Raspberry Pis, SSDs, and networking equipment.
• European hosting infrastructure for secure connectivity.
• Electricity, testing environments, and cross-border experiments.
• The development and publication of free, reproducible technical guides.

Every contribution helps make sovereign cloud technology more accessible, practical, and sustainable.

The goal is not to build another commercial cloud provider. It is to demonstrate that individuals and families can build and operate their own infrastructure using open technologies and affordable hardware.
