Hey, I'm Malte 👋 I'm an infrastructure guy by day, running GPU clusters, datacenters, and networks for an AI company in Germany. But in my free time, I build open source stuff that scratches my own itch. Most of what I build comes from frustration. I couldn't find a tool that did exactly what I needed, so I built it. Then I thought, well, maybe someone else has the same problem. So I put it out there. Right now I'm working on a few things — a privacy-focused SSH client, some homelab automation tools, and a bunch of smaller scripts and utilities that I use daily. None of this is backed by a company or VC money. It's just me, evenings and weekends, mate and occasionally way too late nights. I run all of this on my own infrastructure — self-hosted, no cloud, no analytics, no tracking. Which means it costs actual money to keep running. If something I built saved you time, solved a problem, or you just want to support someone who believes software should respect your privacy, a coffee or two goes a long way. It keeps the servers running, motivates me to keep shipping, and honestly just means a lot coming from strangers on the internet. No pressure though. Everything stays free regardless. That's kind of the whole point.
