Hello! My name is Salem. I dream of a community of expansive, perpetual growth and creating without fear of failure at capitalism. For this, I'll need your help. I am developing a space that uplifts marginalized and oppressed communities, quite a few of which I am a card-carrying member. Simultaneously, we need to educate the privileged in ways they'll actually hear us. So many communities dedicated to these causes turn into echo chambers of people who have firm grasps of leftist concepts, but don't have the patience to share that knowledge with others. I aim to reform this line of thinking and teach people how to make these concepts easy to understand for those who don't have any foundational knowledge of them. In short, I'm trying to spur people to reimagine the way we teach and learn about issues surrounding class, race, gender, anti-capitalism, and how we can come together for the good of the entire human species. Also, there will probably be shitposting, cat memes, and magic. It's inherent in every space I've ever led. :) I am a visionary, an artist, and a revolutionary. I am confident that this is the work I am meant to be doing. But, I need support to be able to do that. Your help will ensure I am compensated for the considerable amount of time it will take to create, shepherd, and grow this space, as that time will need to be taken from other hours of the day that are devoted to something else. It will allow me to have some breathing room as I make art. Your patronage will not only support the community I am building, but myself as a person as I grow and change and bring my creations to life. I am grateful that you are considering lending your support to me and my dreams, especially on a platform that does not inherently entitle you to "perks" in exchange for your donations. Providing bonus content for every donation cycle is not sustainable for me as someone who is both very busy and very nearly disabled by post-acute COVID syndrome.
